A list of Paul Hoecker’s works, exhibitions and a bibliography can now be found on our website together with personal texts by members of our research group.
Since 2019, a group at the Forum Queeres Archiv München has been researching the life and work of the artist Paul Hoecker (1854-1910). The research group’s project page now contains a list of all 111 works known to us with reproductions.
Finding original works by Paul Hoecker presents a considerable challenge due to several factors. A significant number of his pieces have been lost over time, leaving many gaps in his artistic legacy. Moreover, numerous works are held in private collections, undocumented and hidden from public view.

The Paul Hoecker Research Group is committed not only to cataloging the physically extant works but also those mentioned in texts, letters, or other historical documents. This comprehensive approach aims to provide a fuller picture of Hoecker’s artistic output, even if some works have been lost or destroyed.
